Hello
I am doing excel for school assignments from a textbook and some of the instructions are different due to the book being windows adjacent so I am trying to figure out edit data in my current pivot table?

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
i use a mac , and windows and the mac 365 is not that much different from what i can remember
Is the text book using version 2019 excel - perhaps its more to do with the version you are using
i will have to get my windows PC out to compare exactly - BUT what is it you are trying to do and having difficulty with excel pivot table
