PivotTable Drilldown

A former co-worker asked me this question:
I created a pivot table but when I drill down, it shows all of the data and not just the selected data. I'm assuming it is in a setting that is causing the problem but cannot find a resolution. Can you point me in the right direction?

I am not sure she can send me the file for me to look at but I can't think of nor find anything that would lead me to understand why this would happen to her. Any suggestions?

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
