Hi all,

Sorry if my first post is a bit of a newbie question. I am trying to have a cell that monitors the current time. When the time since my last entry is greater than say 90 mins, based on my previous entry and the current time, it plays a sound and alters the formatting of a cell to prompt me to enter something.

Am working my way through VBA Excel for Dummies but was wondering of any of you could recommend any additional self teaching books or reference books. Hopefully then I wont need to ask stupid questions and might be able to help others.

Thanks again

Will

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Wow, quick reply, cheers for that.

How do I now get excel to execute that macro when 90 mins is up since my last piece of entered data?

Thanks again

That's great, cheers for that.

I shall dry and mash something together with that. Just for me to clarify if I am right, the way I was thinking of doing it was having a loop which constantly placed the value =time() into a cell and then referenced to it. Would that have worked or would it have collapse when I ran another macro?

Cheers for your help.
