Hello everyone,

Me and my colleagues are looking to develop an engineering application using visual studio in conjunction with microsoft excel.

Currently we have some engineering spreadsheets that are developed in house for our own usage but we are also thinking to sell these solutions to potential clients...but passwording the excel spreadsheet is not a very secured way to deter people from browsing into the internals (intellectual property so to speak) of the spreadsheet (it seems there are plenty of password *******s out there) so we are thinking to use visual studio to interface with microsoft excel instead...

Is this a good way to do it?

We are looking to find some good references/books that will help us in achieving this...any ideas on suitable books for us?

Thanks in advance
