I have a table of data that gives a recommended daily feeding amount based on weight of a dog for a specific food. My dog has a weight part way between two specified values, so I want to calculate and chart the position on the line chart for the specified weight.

I know I can calculate the value using the FORECAST or GROWTH function, but I'd like to plot that value on the chart as well, so the end result of the chart would look something like this, where the purple line is a chart of the data I have (food amount by dog weight), and the thicker dashed grey line is what I want to appear on the chart:

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hi @JugglerJAF

Error bars and formatting the marker is your way to go. If you could provide a sample of the file, I can help you set it up.

Happy Holidays,

Regards,
