How do I make a cell show a + or - sign together in a cell. I'm trying to display a tolerance range. So say that I have a target of 20 but it's got a range of 16-24 I want one cell to say 20 and another cell next to it to display plus or minus symbol together and the number 4

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
I figured it out. I was needing to know how to actually make the plus minus sign. The ranges would get typed in individually. I didn't know it was hold ALT and type 0177 but thank you for the response

You can use the Insert - Symbol feature to add a ± symbol. If you want to keep the cell as a number, add the symbol to a custom number format.

Just type the following into the cell you are looking to have the plus or minus 4 in ="±4"

If you are looking for the range to be variable you can have the 4 be a reference to a cell with the following formula ="±"&A1 (You can substitute A1 to whatever cell you want).
