pop up messages in excel

I have recieved a spreadsheet at work where if you click on certain cells a message box appears with guidance notes relevant to that area of the spreadsheet

they are not comments boxes but something else


any idea how i switch these off
thanks

Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
