preserve leading zeros in CSV.. how?

Hi everyone,

I've a csv file with

,Blankman,,SomeTown, SD, 00298

When I opened this file, the text 00298 becomes 298. How can I preserve the leading zeros?

I just re-checked my instructions and everything worked as specified. Did you do the first three steps?

If you open the csv file from Windows Explorer or via File | Open then I agree with you that it doesn’t work.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
