Problem Copying Formula

I am having a strange problem on Excel today, one that I have never encountered before.

When I enter a formula in a cell (e.g in cell C1 it type =A1+B1) and then copy the formula down the column it is showing the correct formula in the other cells (e.g in cell C2 it shows =A2+B2) but it is showing the value of the cell I have copied it from (e.g A1+B1 is 5 so cell C1 shows 5, but A2+B2=10 but cell C2 shows 5)

Can anyone suggest why this is happening and how I can fix it?
