I'm new at this so please understand.
I could record a macro in Excel 97 using relative references that would allow me to sort a selected group of consective rows by a designated column once the key stroke was selected & macro complete. I could then select the next set of rows needed (number of row would vary per selection) & then CTRL + key to sort.
My problem is that when I record this same macro in Excel version 2010 the macro reacts totally differently. The macro jumps back the the selected rows highlighted when the macro was recorded not the new selected rows to sort.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I use this alot If not clear please advise
Thanks in advance
Blas;)

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
