Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Welcome to the Board!

For one thing, it appears that you have not structured your formula correctly.
The first argument in SUMIFS should be a range, not a string like "BISCUITS").

Why don't you explain (in English) exactly what you want your formula to do?
What exactly are you trying to sum with this formula?

Please don't make a response as the solution until your issue is resolved (that tells people that the issue has been solved, so there is no need to look at it anymore). I have unmarked it?

Is your data in an actual Table in Excel, or is it just listed? Usually, if it is an "official" table, every other row is shaded, and the headers have color fill to.
I ask because it affects how you would write the formulas.

Also, are you using any Named ranges?
If so, what are they, and what ranges are they assigned to?

firstly i appologize for my language

as you mention for the point of "named ranged" , this is thing i didn't expect but after i download the origninal example and make comparing, i find he named each row beside the product with name of the product ,so once i named B3:Q3 Biscuits the result successed

now it's solved thanks brother.
