# Problems with multiple IF statement in one formula

I like to create a formula with three possible outcomes.

If the value in specified cell is less then 50% cellvalue shall be 1
If the cellvalue in a specified cell is larger then 60% cellvalue shall be 1
If the cellvalue in the specified cell not applies to any of the above it shall be 0 (i.e value between 50% and 60%)

Can someone help me to create a formula for this?

Thanks!

Mats

### Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Something like this?
Code:
``=IF(A1<.5,1,IF(A1>.6,1,0))``

The key is that you can embed another IF statement in the ELSE portion.

Another option is to use an OR function:

Code:
``=IF(OR(A1<0.5,A1>0.6),1,0)``

-Tim

 ( I should have read closer )

Try

=(A1<0.5)+(A1>0.6)

=(A1<0.5)+(A1>0.6)

That's pretty slick Barry. I always forget about using logicals as ints.

Thanks guys! It worked perfectly!
