I've been trying to get this to work for a couple of hours... lol

I'm using Excel 2003.

I'm using Harlan's PULL function, with the last date being, 5-30-04

B4: ="'\\BUNT6DCSRV1\storage\Butler\BM_MFG\Production Reports\2007 Production Reports\" & VLOOKUP(MONTH(B6),$D$6:$E$17,2) & " " & MID(YEAR(B6),3,2) & "''\Molding\[2nd.xls]" & DAY(B6) & "'!$A$7:$U$45"

B6: 08/28/2007
B8: 23

23 is a mold number for a tool at work.

The VLOOKUP for the MONTH, is to return the name of the month "January" "February" etc...

These two lines both work:
=VLOOKUP(B8,INDIRECT(B4),1,0)
=VLOOKUP(B8,'[2nd.xls]28'!$A$7:$U$45,1,0)

This one doesn't:
=VLOOKUP(B8,PULL(B4),1,0)

I've never been able to get PULL to work... lol :)

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Basically I'm trying to pull a range of data from a variable file path...

There's a folder for each month and year...

January 07'
February 07'
etc...

Then within each monthly folder is a spreadsheet, that has a tab for each day of the month....

I want to type in the date, and have it find the data for the mold number for that specific day.

I'll try to simplify this a little bit.

Code:
=VLOOKUP($B8,INDIRECT.EXT("'\\BUNT6DCSRV1\storage\Butler\BM_MFG\Production Reports\2007 Production Reports\"&VLOOKUP(MONTH($B6),$D$6:$E$17,2,0)&" "&RIGHT(YEAR($B6),2)&"''\Molding\[2nd.xls]"&DAY($B6)&"'!$A$7:$U$45"),12,0)

=VLOOKUP($B8,PULL("'\\BUNT6DCSRV1\storage\Butler\BM_MFG\Production Reports\2007 Production Reports\"&VLOOKUP(MONTH($B6),$D$6:$E$17,2,0)&" "&RIGHT(YEAR($B6),2)&"''\Molding\[2nd.xls]"&DAY($B6)&"'!$A$7:$U$45"),12,0)

The indirect.ext works, but the pull doesn't... everything else is exactly the same. what's my problem, any ideas?

B8 is the mold number. B6 is the date. The vlookup for the month, returns the name of the month.
