Is there a way of putting a header or footer on Sheet 1, which will then also appear on Sheet 2 and Sheet 3, without the need to re-type.

I'm in Offcie 2000.

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December

No. But you should be able to copy and paste.

You might also try to print those sheets in group mode, where you select all of the sheets and then print them. I know from experience if you have set the footer to print using this custom footer

Page &[Page] of &[Pages]

it will number the pages for all sheets in group mode consecutively.
