Good Afternoon everyone!

Had a quick questions on column combinations.

I'm working with a table of serial numbers, and wanted to merge Column C with Column B without breaking the previous data association.

Here's a screenshot of what I'm working with:

Would love to combine Columns B & C while keeping the previous association (Red Boxes)

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
If you do a merge you will lose the data in Column C - is that what you want, or perhaps the term 'merge' means something else to you?

I apologize, allow me to clarify:

I do want to combine Column B & C. All the data to the right of C is associated with Column B.

I want to combine Column B & C and create blank rows for all of the Column C names. This info can be filled in later, merging these columns for sorting purposes is my intention.

How about copying the column C:E data, pasting it below the column B data, sorting the data in Column B then deleting the data in column C?

Jesus, thank you.

I'm impressed by how simple the solution was. You're right, simply pasting the additional information at the bottom of the column, softing alphabetically and deleting duplicates resolved my issue. Even kept the same data associations while adding additinoal blank rows.

As always, thank you for your fast, expert knowledge on excel.
