I have a group of data in a sql server database that I am trying to use power pivot to create a table of values for. The fields in calculation are:Type of toy, Average sale price for each type of toy, the quantity purchased for that type, and the purchase price.

I would like to get power pivot to perform the following:

the sum of the below formula for each type of toy:
((Average sale price-purchase price)*Quantity purchased)

Any and all suggestions are helpful.

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Once you have your data imported into power pivot from sql... just add a new calculated column =(MyTable[SalePrice] - MyTable[PurchasePrice]) * MyTable[Quanity]
