Hi everyone, I have what I think should be a simple question, but for some reason I cannot figure it out.

I am trying to set up my first macro ever and hitting a little bit of a wall. I have a series of dates (column A) and data (columns B-X) that I am adding a new line to the top of each day. The new line needs to have the previous WEEKDAYs date (eg if it is a monday it needs to have fridays date in the new top line).

My question is, is there a formula i could use to accomplish this? any help would be much appreciated!

If additional details are needed please let me know!

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
check out the =weekday() formula

If you use the right setting, 5 is a friday, so you'll know to add 3 to the date rather than just 1.

That is exactly the starting place I am looking for, thanks for the help.

Any thoughts on how to take it to the next level and have the formula show up the previous business date? for example i need formula that on Monday June 20th, will show Friday June 17th AND on Weds June 15th it will show Tues June 14th.

Any help is truley appreciated. I cannot seem to find a way to make this work for me!
