Hello

Having some trouble/not sure how to make this calculation.

basically, i have ranked based on a few criterias a few sales ppl., but now i would like to do an overall rank, based on their ranking.

i.e. if there are four criterias
Sales Person - Criteria 1 - Criteria 2 - Criteria 3 - Criteria 4
John Doe rank= 1 rank= 1 rank= 1 rank= 1

thus his overall rank is #1.

how can i make taht calculation? for his overall..using all his rankings? hope u guys follow.

unfortunately firewall do not allow me to upload files, so i have uploaded a file on the website below, if someone can pls advise!!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).

It sounds like what you want to do is get a sum total of the sub-ranks and then get a grand rank from this.

Does that sound right?

hello

thxs for ur prompt response.

yes, you are correct. any ideas how? thxs alot.
Maybe something like this...

Book1
ABCDEF
1_Rank1Rank2Rank3TotalFinal Rank
2Bob21474
3Sue452112
4Biff545141
5Tom32383
6Lisa13155
Sheet1

Higher numbers are better.

This formula entered in E2 and copy down to E6:

=SUM(B2:D2)

This formula entered in F2 and copied down to F6:

=RANK(E2,E$2:E$6)
