Recording DDE data on consecutive cells

Greetings from Brazil,

I need to record data from a DDE link, at given time intervals, i.e. every 10 minutes or so. The purpose is to record stock prices to be used later in other calculations.

I have read the thread below...

...but apparently there is an inconsistency in the column functions and at the end of the thread the respondent suggests to show a better, updated solution.

I'm using Excel 2007, have very good Excel skills but just a little on VBA.

Start with an Application.OnTime procedure and schedule it to run every 10 minutes to record the current data - see See http://www.cpearson.com/excel/OnTime.aspx.
