Hey all,

Just a quick question regarding the regression analysis function in excel. I was previously facing the constant error message: ''Regression-LINEST() function returns error. Please check input ranges again'. This was because there were blank cells in my data. After following the steps to the solution, i.e filling the blank cells with 0's, I am still facing this error. What should I do about it?

I would appreciate some quick feedback on the issue that I'm facing.

The data that I'm analysing has over 3000 counts of different categories with blank cells in different areas, so the above is just a small sample of it.

I used the regression analysis bit under Data> Data Analysis and selected all data including labels (with the labels box ticked) after filling the blank spots with 0's.

On another note, I tried filtering the data of the blanks, leaving only the numbers. I tried the regression analysis after that and it still did not work.

Thanks.

I had no problem with the data you posted, even if it included zeroes. Are you sure that all your numbers are really numbers? You can put your workbook on a share like Box.com if you want and I'll take a look.
