relating last entry in a column to another sheet

Dear all

I know how to refernce cells to anothe sheet but I can't seem to remember how to reference to a changing source cell.

The problem..

I have sheet 1 column A set to be filled in with a date Then the last date in that column has to copy that date into Sheet 2 E3

When I just relate sheet 1 A3 it's fine. But I can't see how to make A4, A5, A6 etc change the contents of sheet 2 E3 when they are filled in

=LOOKUP(9E+307,Sheet1!A:A)
