Dear Mrs./Ms. and Mr. Excels!
I stumbled upon a problem I cannot solve, nor really understand. I want to create a database for a couple of dozen files that would have hyperlinks pointing to them for the ease of use. The files and the .xlsx file also are in a network folder, let's say: Y:\folder1\
Some of the files are deeper in the folder directory, example: Y:\folder1\folder1.1\my_file.docx
The peculiar thing is that if I give the =hyperlink() function the whole access path, it does open the file, but if I just give the relative path (folder1.1\my_file.docx), it comes back with an "unexpected error". If I try the same .xlsx file on my local C:\ drive it works perfectly.
What am I missing? Is this error because the network drive?

Thank you,
C

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
