Greetings! I have two columns, one has 600 records (non-remodeled stores), the second has 1260 records (all stores). I want to remove the 600 unique records from the column of 1260 records which would give me the remaining 'remodeled' stores. I think it might be VLOOKUP, but I am not certain....Can anyone please assist me? Thanks! Jennifer

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
If your 600 records are in column A and your 1260 records in column B, in column C enter:
Code:
=MATCH(A1,$B$1:$B$1260,1,0)
And drag down. Anything that returns a '#N/A' is a unique store

If you then copy Column C and pastespecial values, you can then sort your data (columns B and C) to have all the '#N/A' values at the top or bottom to identify the ones you want

When you're thinking MATCH but writing a VLOOKUP... d'oh!
