Greetings everyone,

I would like to change a bit of text that is included in a worksheet name; for instance, when a new file is launched, Excel includes (in my case anyway) three worksheets and names them Sheet1, Sheet2, and Sheet3.

Suppose I want to use code to change "Sheet" to "Data layout". Does anyone have a method for doing this?

I have several workbooks with >50 worksheets in each, and a number of them need to have the worksheet names replaced (too many to do by hand)

Thanks in advance!

Sean

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try using this sample code

Sub RenameWrkshtTabs()
Dim i As Integer
For i = 1 To Sheets.Count
'MsgBox Sheets(i).Name....this is commented line
Sheets(i).Select
Sheets(i).Name = "Data layout" & i
Next i
End Sub
