Hello

I have two question for you guys.

1) I have a log log plot which is in a jpg format. I would like to get an equation for it and I dont really know what I should do?

2) I have 3 points namely

12.934 1.76
21.975 111.37
14.915 10.454

I want to make a log log plot out of them and get a straight line trendline fit with an equation. Can this be done?

Thanks for all your input.

Here is the plot of the one I would like to get an equation for.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Yes.

First, sort your data, so that it is in the order
12.934----1.76
14.915---10.454
21.975--111.37

Next, highlight your data and click on the Chart Wizard
Select XY (Scatter), and the bottom-left type of graph
Next, Finish

Now, do a right click on your vertical (y) axis, select the Scale tab, and, near the bottom, check the checkbox Logarithmic scale.
Do the same for your horizontal (x) axis.

Finally, right click on any part of the curve, choose Add Trendline..., and select the Options tab, and check the second-to-last checkbox, "Display equation on chart". Click on the Type tab, and make sure the Linear Trend line is chosen. Click OK.

If the equation is not as visible as you would like, grab it with the cursor and drag it to a more convenient and visible location.

Let us know if this solves your problem.
