Hello, I am wondering if you could help me with excel file (please see the link below). I am trying to represent the attendance chart for each employee for the last 5-6 years with the goal of demonstrating how many employees were working during a specific month/year. Subsequently, demonstrate periods were there were not enough staff for the workload.

I started by thinking that I could demonstrate this by doing a simple chart but I realized that it would only give a seniority list by employees.

Now, I am thinking that I should probably do this with a pivot table. Can you guide me on which tool in excel I should use to reach my objectives.
