Hi all...I know we cannot force users to enable links but is there a way to require it to view the file? Is there a way to test if links were enabled and if not, do something like hide and lock imporatant sheets and show a sheet that says links must be activated?

So I guess the question is...Can we test for link activation with VBA?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
What exactly do you mean by links? Do you mean paste link formulas or hyperlinks or something else. And if paste links, what do you mean by "enable"...you mean the user clicked No when the file opened and asked if links should be updated? And if you mean hyperlinks, that could be internal workbook links or web links or intranet (local) links. Just not clear what you are asking.
