restricting copy->pastespecial in cells with validation lists?

Hi all,

I've tried searching but have been unable to find an answer.

Is it possible to restrict the values of a cell when copy --> pastespecial into a cell with existing validation list?

If I copy a large amount of data then go to paste special into cells with existing validation lists - is it possible to get the cells that are not values of the validation list to generate an error?
