Return first record of a dget when there are multiple answers available

Hi,
I am tring to get the first value of a dget when there are multiple answers available...

Example
Database = timestamp and value
find the minimum value =dmin(database,"value","value_setup")
This will return
0.6151...

Now how do you find the first value in the timestamp column based on this previous minimum value returned.... This should equal 9:21:00

Due to multiple returns on the value you get the error #num

Same problem how would you return the array of the timestamps that it met the minimum value as defined above?

This should return
9:21
9:22
9:23
...
9:30

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

The dmin() might be of use to you, but I think the data might have to be shifted a little bit before it can work. It's more complicated in excel than access, for whatever reason.

What is the exact DMIN formula you used, as adapted to the sample you posted? Please include also the criteria range.

Ok,
There is a Cell that is "value" with nothing under it as required for the criteria for the Dmin in another location it is named as "value_setup".
The two columns are named as a database named "well01"
f1,f2 named cells = "well01_min"
F1 = test "value"
F2=dmin("well01","value","value_setup")
This does pull the minimum value from the database "Well01" but there are multiple cells with that value.

Now I need to pull the timestamp from the first cell in which the minimum value is avaliable.
Formula that does not work :
dget("Well01","timestamp",well01_min)
This will not return the value due to multiple cells with the minimum value.

I would need some thing to pull the first timestamp from the column.
Example of returned value would be 9:21:00

I would also need something that would pull an array of all the timestamps that met the criteria..
Example of returned value would be

In the above example i would get the 9:21 as an answer of one return of the problem and i would get the the 9:21 thru 9:30 as the second part of the question.

it is a seperate calculation that would give you all the times of the occurance.
I know i could write it in a macro but this is a automated report that is run without user intervention then prints to a pdf

Given the data in A2:B6...

DAF1,4
FAD5,7

LAD1,4

I want as result:

4
8

Question: What is the relation between the data and the result?

Answer: List the values from B if A contains "DAF".

Back to our exchange: I have been trying to ask you a question with regard to your data as in the above scenario and kept hoping to get an "answer"as specific as in the above scenario. Apologies if I'm of the mark.
