How can I get vba to return what format the date in the activecell is currently?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi Chatelain,

ActiveCell.Numberformat

should return the string that represents the date format of the active cell.
