Good Afternoon,

I am a Pilot at a Flight School, and we have approximately 100 Students that we schedule to fly each week. I am trying to make a simple list of the names, that I can check off when have been booked for a Flight, and their name drops to the bottom of the list, and continually rotates up. That way each student receives a fair and equal number of flights. The challenge we have, is that it is not like a batting order, where the order of students always remains the same - i.e, Unavailablity, weather cancelations, time off, etc…

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - Thank You in advance…!

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Welcome to the Board!

Why not just keep track of the number of flights in some column next to their name, and then sort that list by number of flights in ascending order?
Then the ones with the least number of flights will appear at the top.

Excel 365 even has a SORT function you can use to make the sort dynamic, so you don't need to keep doing it manually.
See: SORT Function

Gentlemen, Thank You…! I feel a bit like an idiot for not thinking of these solutions - if you are ever in Madrid, I owe you guys a flight. ;)
