You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK

hello Andrea and welcome,

go the vba editor by pressing alt-f11
go to project explorer
Double click Thisworkbook from VB Editor and put the
following code

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
put your macro here

End Sub

It will work.

Hi Andrea,

Welcome to the board. :)

You need to call your macro from the Workbook_Open event. Go to the VBE and select the ThisWorkbook object for the workbook containing your chosen macro. Then enter something like this:

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'
Call MyMacro
'
End Sub

How do you do this in Excel 2000? I don't find an Open event in the Workbook. There is an Activate, but it doesn't seem to fire when you first invoke Excel.
