Hey there,

So occationally, I am unaware how how a VBA proceduer takes to run and will be working on a different machine or in a mtg. once the proceduer is done it is set to prompt a Y/N msgbox.

the issue is if i do not touch my keyboard or mouse my NT Protection locks me out of my makes.....or should i saw hangs up where i cannot attempt to log back in OR get to my desktop.....

If this occurs is there any what to overcome this obstical. not a direct access question but im sure other have ran accros this.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
so this happened again today....i was running some vba code that was converting columns to rows (appending one column to a table, then the next, etc)

as i left for a mtg when i can back the machine was hung up and the keyboard could not impact it (promt for a login esc etc) all i could be is the background and the hourglass.

most likely it was still completing the code but historically in a similiar situation it simply hangs up. is there anything that can be done?

Do you mean it the code takes a long time to run and when you run it a message box pops up?

If that happens while the machine is locked you can't unlock it?

Why do you have the message box, especially if it's causing this problem?

Can't you just get rid of the message box?

If you really want a message when the procedure is finished then you could just show an unbound form.
