I'm trying to call one macro using a macro in a different workbook.

Both workbooks are open when I execute the macro.

I'm using the syntax:
Application.Run "MacroBook!MacroName"

The error I get is Run Time Error 1004: Cannot run the macro 'macrobook!macroname' The macro may not be available in this work, or all macro may be disabled.

I've tried a number of tweaks to try to make this work and I just can't figure out what I'm missing.

As always, any help is extremely appreciated!

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Possibly:
Application.Run "MacroBook.xls!MacroName"

Is that it?

tried that (though for me it was .xlsm because i'm using 2010 and it's a macro enabled workbook)

Hmmm. Strange. Works here. Is the workbook in a trusted location?
