Hi!

I would like to make a button for my macro to be used in every document opened with my version of Excel. Is there any way of placing a module.bas in the application folder somewhere?

Thanks for the help!

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
you could add your macro to your personal macro workbook (found in VBA editor under personal.xls)

this will make it available in all open workbooks

I really like the idea of making an addin, although I don't quite understand how. I have written a sub (it doesn't have to be a function, right?) and saved the file as an .xla under C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns. Afterwards, I have gone to excel and added the addin via tools -> Addins. Although when I open a new workbook, it cannot find the macro!? What do i do wrong?

You are correct, it isn't restricted to Functions.

Does the Add-in show in the Project window in the Visual Basic Editor?

I would rather put up a personal.xls file for all of my macros. I would use add-ins only when I have to work on multiple computers, something sort of a network.
