Running slow

I have a rather large program that as I use it ( many macros and calculations ) it starts to run slower.
If I close the program and re open it runs fast again for a while and then it starts to slow down.
Any suggestions as to what I can do in the program the would do the same as closing and re opening.

Hi,

For each one of your worksheets, make sure you are storing many empty rows and many empty columns ....

End Home will give an indication ...

When you save a workbook, Excel stores only the part of each worksheet that contains data or formatting. Empty cells may contain formatting that causes the last cell in a row or column to fall outside of the range of cells that contains data.
