Screen NOT refreshing in simple excel 2016....

so... this should be a simple issue but cannot find the answer to this...

i have a simple table with slicers.
if i filter then fill rows with a color...
these wont reflect this change unless i scroll down... then back up (frozen panes so.. scroll to hide them then revert)
i already disabled hardware acceleration
this is on a windows 10 Laptop.
