Screen Shots

In a weekly process I take screen shots from a webpage, Paste into excel. In excel I crop the shots and then click compress current picture to document resolution. My document resolution is 96ppi. The shots look fine until I hit save the document - then they get blurry. My coworker does the same process but her images don't blur. Which makes me think it's a setting somewhere. We use Excel 2010. Any ideas?
