Search, find, copy - paste

Hello,
I am a small business owner, recently i realized that i need a program for my inventory check, but when i talked with some software companies i changed my mind because its too expensive for what i consider a simple thing, definitely not worth the money.
So here is what im asking:
My database have 3 columns 1.Barcode 2.Description(of the products) 3.Price
I want to scan the product's barcode in one cell so excel can match the barcode to the row and copy-paste the entire row where i scanned.
Im using Microsoft office 2007

Micheal, welcome to the forum.

It's always best to include samples of your data showing exactly what you're trying to accomplish.

Please post (you can copy/paste directly from excel into your reply) your data and also show how you want it to look like in the end (kind of like a before and after). Perhaps then further clarifying wouldn't hurt either. Hope this helps.

Search for value in what cell.

When this value is found in column "A" copy and paste that row where?

In my head its like this: Lets say sheet1 A1.Barcode A2.Description A3.Price - all that is empty. sheet2 (database) same as sheet 1 but with data.
When i scan the barcode in Sheet1 A2 cell i want excel to find that barcode in sheet2 database and copy-paste the entire row in sheet1.
For example: i scan in sheet1 A2 cell which is the barcode column the barcode 5208..1 hit enter and excel find this barcode in sheet2 and fill the B2 and C2 cells from sheet1.

Are you sure your not wanting A1 B1

In your post you only mention "A" which is column "A" you never mentioned any "B" column

I will make a better post with pictures tomorrow.
