Search & Replace Part of String

I have a middle part of a string I want to trim out. So my Cell Value may read "Gen 25:01-26:16" and I want to remove the "25:01-" so that it reads "Gen 26:16"

Any help would be appreciated

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Also, one example is not much to go on. If one of the following is not what you need, please post 5-10 rows of varied raw data and the corresponding expected results (preferably with XL2BB).

=LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1))&REPLACE(A1,1,FIND("-",A1),"")
