I can't remember the formula to seperate text with a column. This is what I have currently:

A1 '1101000908 - Acc.Rec.Trade-Accounts Payable Check Requests

I want:
B1 1101000908
C1 Acc.Rec.Trade-Accounts Payable Check Requests

I can use the 'LEFT' formula for B1 but how do I get the rest of the text into column C, when the text varies each row?

Thanks!

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hi behan09

Assuming the number has always 10 digits:

In B1

=LEFT(A1,10)

In C1

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-13)

Hope this helps
