Is it possible to change the default column with in Excel? For example my default column with is 8.43 for all new sheet I create. But what I would like is for all new sheets to have a width of 14.00 when they are created with out having to change the column format. Is this possible? Any help would be much appreciated.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
A possible solution would be to format a worksheet with the desired column width, and save it as, say, Width14.xlt. From now on, to start a new workbook with the column width of 14, open Width14.xlt, save it as NewName.xls, and use it as your new, 14-width column workbook.

Will this work for you?
