Hello,

I have a macro that takes several minutes to complete and I would like to add a button indicator in the spreadsheet that turns to red when the macro is running and turns to green when complete. I use the code below, but the color does not change, it seems the macro is too fast to process the first line. Is there a way to allow the button to turn red in the first line. Many thanks in advance !

Sub Macro1()

ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 2")).ShapeStyle = msoShapeStylePreset39
.
.
.
ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 2")).ShapeStyle = msoShapeStylePreset38

End Sub

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Try adding this line to force a screen refresh.

Code:
Sub Macro1()

ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 2")).ShapeStyle = msoShapeStylePreset39
[B]Application.ScreenUpdating = True[/B]
.
.
.
ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 2")).ShapeStyle = msoShapeStylePreset38
[B]Application.ScreenUpdating = True[/B]
End Sub

Try something like this:

Code:
ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 2")).Fill.ForeColor.RGB = RGB(0, 255, 0)
 ActiveSheet.Shapes.Range(Array("Oval 1")).Fill.ForeColor.RGB = RGB(255, 0, 0)
