This formula worked fine, and then one day when I changed one of the values (H3), I get the #name? error, and undo won't correct it; see for yourself; any help would be appreciated.

(Used for calculating Frequency at different times)

Yup, I've just finished installing it and now it works perfectly (as it used to)

The problem came after I restored my system drive from a backup that I made _before_ I installed the tool-pak;

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
It does sound like the Analyst Tool-Pack not installed as Paddy says.
But I just opened the file in xlXP and I get the #NAME! as well, and I have the Add-In installed.
Remove the Add-In, then put it back in and re-calc, problem solved????

I have had this a few times with XP of late.
In particular when I use RANDBETWEEN() in a new file, I don't know which version of xl your running, but this be an issue.

Interesting, but it turns out my problem came about when using a backup of my system drive (with Excel on it) that was made before I installed the tool-pak; see my last post on the first page.

Yet another reason why I'm still using Win98 SR-1 :)

But isn't Win98 SE the most stable???
That the operating system I'm using at home.

It's office XP I'm have problems with,
I still have 97 and 2000 installed though (which if you read the terms is a big no no??).

Well, that's what I hear from most people, but my machine hasn't crashed unexpectedly since two months after I got it.

The differences between SR-1 and SE are really behind the scenes (hence the different drivers for 9x and SE), and my stuff works with the 9x drivers, so why gamble with probably haste-written SE drivers?

I'm seeing the same thind as SG1. This is very strange because the formula looks fine. I'm using ExcelXP and Win98...very strange.
