I am attempting to use the sort function to provide me a 4000 row array in ascending order while not having the blanks show first.
Blank cells are ="". Some rows have cells with text and some cells are ""

How can I properly sort this?

=SORT(FILTER($A$2:$R$4000,$B$2:$B$4000<>""),2,1)

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Are you trying to sort on col B?

In that case the formula should do exactly what you want.

In that case check that you don't have any #N/A errors in the data.
