Ok so I understand that like everything with excel there is more than one way of doing things.
I have successfully worked through everything to get me through creating a 10 row section of a spreadsheet that allows for scrolling through of data that is another sheet. The tutorial I am following is here:
http://chandoo.org/wp/2008/08/20/create-kpi-dashboards-excel-1/
Done! The only thing I did different is use INDEX instead of OFFSET as I heard around here that it performed twice that of INDEX during testing (confirmations?).
Now I am here:
http://chandoo.org/wp/2008/08/27/excel-kpi-dashboard-sort-2/
Which definitely gets more complex but I can grasp whats going on enough to carry this out. What I am wondering before I spend all my time in one direction is in reference to what he says about using an array to sort being more "elegant".
Elegant meaning??? Faster? Thats my first question...more complex I can deal with as I haven't found something I couldn't figure out....eventually
So yeah that is basically it...I am toying with this and figured I would shoot out to you guys and let me know if what I am reading is the best way to go about what I am trying to accomplish:
Sorting a list that uses a scrollbar control to allow a user to scroll through data on another worksheet in a 10 row, 2 column section (for example).
Anyone?
Thanks again Excel Rock Stars!
