I have a worksheet which imports its values from another worksheet. I have columns labeled [Customer ID] and [Date]. When I choose (in toolbar) DATA then SORT and do it by (column A)CUST ID then by (column B)DATE, it comes out wrong. It sorts all the customer ID's out right, but the dates come out like this:

6/17/2007
6/24/2007
7/8/2007
7/15/2007
7/22/2007
6/31/2007

No matter what I try, its putting June 31st last.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
One thing I notice is that 6/31/2007 is not an accurate date. There are only 30 days in June. Maybe the sort does not know what to do with that date?
