I have the following as an example that isn't sorting the way I want.
How can I fix it.

I have, but it isn't in order:
z1
z10
z100
z101
z102
z103
z104
z105
z106
z107
z108
z109
z11
z110
z12
z13
z14
z15
z16
z17
z18
z19
z2
z20

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
If you have a text value (have letters in makes it text), it will sort according to text rules.
To get it to sort the way you want, have all your values the same length long, where instead of have "z1", write it as "z001" and instead of "z10", have "z010" (so you are making it one letter follow by zero padded three digit number).
Then it should sort as you like.
