I am trying to create a chart that sources data from multiple worksheets within the same workbook. All the cells are the same location in each worksheet.

I keep getting an error message on the formula entered under the value box.

='Aug 05:Dec 05'!$BA$111

This formula kicks back an error highlighting 'Aug

I have tried different variations of this formula, but nada.

What am I missing?

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
spakole.

i see the shortcut that you are trying to use, but excel doesn't recognize groups of worksheets in the same way it recognizes groups of cells.

if you want to create a chart from multiple worksheets, you'll need to enter data series by series (right-most tab in the source data wizard) as opposed to by data range.

hope this helps. ben.
