I have one column full of data and I want to spread this across 3 columns.
So the 2nd cell down will now be A2 and the 3rd cell down will become A3 and the 4th cell down will now become B1.

How do I do this automatically?

Appreciate the help,

JH

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Assuming the data is in column A, enter these formulae in the indicated cells
A2 =OFFSET($A$1,(ROW()-1)*3,0)
A3 =OFFSET($A$1,(ROW()-1)*3+1,0)
A4 =OFFSET($A$1,(ROW()-1)*3+2,0)

then fill down in columns 2,3 and 4
